We stayed at unit 205 two years ago and liked that one too, but after seeing this open floor space, I knew I had to book this one for our trip this year. We usually go to Fort Walton in May, but because of the quarantine, we had to move our trip to August. This unit was just what I hoped it would be. The open floor space in the main living area is an absolute plus! What a great idea to break down the wall and create an island in the middle! We didn’t even get to use the dining table because we used the island (the dining table didn’t have much light). The floors were luxury vinyl planks and were so easy to clean and didn’t get sticky quickly. There are plenty of cabinet storage space, and they even have a separate wine cooler. There were plenty of chairs in the balcony, and the bar stools/bar in the balcony was also a plus. We loved sitting out there looking at that stars at night while drinking alcohol and hearing the sound of the waves. We have made so much happy memories in this place and we love the Fort Walton/Okaloosa area in general.
There are only two things that I wish they could fix before our next stay next year: The shower and tub faucets were turning on at the same time for both of our bathrooms (the tub faucet runs while taking a shower). While this didn’t really ruin our vacation, we just noticed that it was using up most of the hot water quickly, so if all 5 of us were to take a shower one after the other, the last person to showers gets cold water. I also wish that one day, they will upgrade the floor tiles in the bathroom to anything other than white floors. They got dirty so quickly, especially when we’re coming in from the beach.
We are ready to book for our trip next year and this unit is still at the top of our list.
